The Hall of Famer recently told the Boston Globe he thought Big Papi was a better hitter than he was.

A New York man is filing a 10-million dollar lawsuit against E-S-P-N for falling asleep at a baseball game!
Andrew Rector says he was "mocked" by two sports announcers when he took a nap at Yankee stadium during a game against the Red Sox in April.
Rector is also suing the team AND the two sports announcers, along with the network.

Giant Tortoise Kicker 
A RUNAWAY TORTOISE is reunited with his owners.
The giant tortoise was found wandering the streets of Alhambra, California before it was caught by the town police.
It took two officers to transport the 150-pound reptile into a patrol car to turn over to animal control authorities.
He is back with his owners this morning but they still don't know how he escaped the house!

Skateboard Cop Kicker

A Wisconsin police officer is choosing a new way to patrol.

It doesn't involve a cruiser, but Officer Joel Zwicky can still be seen "cruising" around the Green Bay community... on his skateboard!

Known as "Skateboard Cop," Zwicky says he wants to break down the "punk-like" stereotype of skateboarders and earn respect from the teen crowd.
He even uses the skateboard to make a traffic stops.

MySpace RDR
If you've ever used MySpace... you may be in for a trip down memory lane.
The social network is emailing users old pictures of themselves to try and get them to return to MySpace.
The email also has a link that takes users to their old profiles.
It's unclear whether the strategy is working for MySpace... but it could remind you to clean out your digital world.

Tattoo Artist RDR
40 years later - a Swedish tattoo artist finds a long lost needle... in his BODY.
He was giving himself a tattoo when the needle entered his arm.
Now 63... He recently had severe pains in his foot and found the nearly one-inch needle in his big toe.
The artist says he "completely forgot about it."

A pilot saves his own life by jumping out of his plane.

Skydiving pilot Shawn Kinmartin was 11-thousand feet in the air when he lost control of his plane over Illinois.
Two skydivers had already jumped out, when one of them accidentally struck a part of the plane that controls its climb and descent.
Kinmartin realized he wouldn't be able to land the plane so he jumped out with his parachute on.
The plane crashed, but Kinmartin landed safely in a field.

This was the 21-year-old pilot's first day on the job at the skydiving company.

"Thomas Land" RDR 
Thomas the Tank Engine is coming to Edaville USA!
"Thomas Land" is expected to open for business by next summer at the amusement park in Carver.
The Thomas-themed park will be the third in the world... along with "Thomas Lands" in the U-K and Japan.
Backers hope the new park will quadruple Edaville's attendance ...Making it a NATIONAL attraction.
Groundbreaking for Thomas Land is scheduled for next month.
