This assignment focused on design elements for advertising. Photographs were taken in areas including clothing/accessories, food, drink, health and technology. The images were then enhanced and manipulated as needed in Photoshop and graphically designed into advertisements.

This advertisement for Simply Grapefruit is bright but simple to remain consistent with the product’s actual name. Enhancing the image did a lot for the ad in brightening colors and creating more contrast. Originally, the grapefruit was white so in Photoshop it was edited to a ruby to match the actual juice. The clone stamp to delete the expiration date that was printed on the bottle. The text was kept simple and in a typeface that is similar to and compliments the font on the actual bottle.

This Wilson basketball ad was specifically framed to have the basketball hoop in the background. The ball is somewhat worn out because it adds an authenticity to the concept of everyday playing rather than from an NBA standpoint. However, including the fact that it’s the official ball of the NBA gives the brand a trusted credibility.

This ad for Gardenburger Veggie Burgers is aimed to make the veggie burger look more natural than typical advertisements because the product itself appeals mostly to vegetarians or vegans who are more into all natural and organics. The avocado slices were cleaned up in Photoshop. The box itself adds branding. In the terminal area the Gardenburger’s stamp of “eat positive" ads branding. The slogan in the strong fallow area, using a red/orange to match some of the text on the box. The color is also appealing to the eye and contrasts well with the white background and the green of the spinach.
